Lower Columbia Amateur Radio Association
Although it isn't a requirement, most Cowlitz County ARES®/RACES members are also affiliated with the Lower Columbia Amateur Radio Association. LCARA provides significant support to our emergency communications efforts through the use of club facilities, including the clubhouse itself as well as repeaters and tower space.
LCARA, club call W7DG, is a special service club affiliated with the ARRL and maintains a separate website at LCARA/W7DG. The club offers full HF/VHF/UHF station capabilities as well as operates several repeaters within Cowlitz County.
Currently LCARA meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 PM. The first meeting of the month is informal operation of club equipment and training/tutorial sessions conducted by members. Club business will be conducted during the second meeting of each month.
